Responsibilities
- Design, implement and manage network infrastructure focused on availability and performance.
- Conduct performance assessments and audits to align operations with current standards and security good practices.
- Diagnose network issues and ensure timely resolution to minimise service impact.
- Collaborate with other IT teams when integrating new technologies and systems.
- Participate in planning and deploying security measures such as firewalls, antivirus and intrusion-detection systems.
Essential requirements
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer and command of network infrastructure and hardware.
- Ability to solve complex problems and design scalable solutions.
- Experience with different network types, including LAN, WAN, WLAN and SDN.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols such as IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11 and QoS.
- Practical experience with monitoring, diagnostic and network-analytics tools.
- Higher education in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is valued.
